Hello!
I’m Michael, a filmmaker and photographer based in the North East of England. Fully self-taught, I’ve ran my commercial practice for over 5 years now, meeting and working with some incredible people and brands across the country.
For as long as I can remember, I have always been drawn to creative mediums as a way of expressing myself, and how I see the world around me. My gateway into filmmaking was through drone cinematography, a medium I was fascinated by after a brief but joyful experience of getting to use one for a personal project. Fresh out of university with a desire to make something of myself, I set up my practice as a freelance creative, learning as much as I could along the way.
I’m super excited to finally take the plunge into wedding photography, bringing all the knowledge, experience and talent I’ve achieved through my commercial practice and personal work in to this new chapter.
My freelance practice mostly consists of work in the luxury hotel, travel & tourism, and lifestyle sectors, working with brands such as The Grove Hotel, Another Place Hotels, Visit Britain and so on. I’ve also licensed my drone cinematography for programmes commissioned by Channel 4 and ITV.
My personal work is a mixture of outdoor, landscape and lifestyle, and occasionally, but more and more; street photography, a genre I have really grown to enjoy shooting over the last couple years. Outside of film & photography, you’ll most likely find me working on my home renovation with my partner Frances and our tabby; Cleo, sinking my teeth into a good book or working on a personal project.
